Users of AOL for Windows:

Users of CompuServe for Windows:

Windows users of CompuServe can run Netscape or another browser instead of the CompuServe browser. Simply download Netscape Navigator by clicking here and run it instead of the CompuServe browser. The latest versions of CompuServe integrate the Microsoft Internet Explorer into their service.

Displaying 32,000 or more colors:

Web pages will appear much sharper and have truer colors if you view them with a display which can show 32,000 or more colors. All new computers can display 32,000 or more colors by installing the correct video driver. Older computers with 1 MB of Video RAM may also be able to show more colors if you install the latest video driver. The video driver is often called High-Color or 16-Bit Color. The latest video drivers may be found on your computer manufacturer's web site or at Microsoft's web site.

If your computer can't display 32,000 or more colors, most computers can display at least 256 colors and you should use this driver instead of 16-color VGA. This driver is called Super VGA (640x480, 256 colors) and comes with Windows.

PC users should consult their owner's manual for more information on changing the video driver for their particular computer. Mac users can change their monitor settings in the control panel by choosing thousands of colors.
